In an effort to keep interest in the game, the Twenty20 competition was brought in this season.
In first grade, Ex-Services took on Guyra.
Batting first, Servies finished with 5-130 from their 20 overs.
Brad Smith was first to depart on eight thanks to the bowling of Kyle Mongta.
Then Gareth Swardt and Michael Dawson put on a strong middle-order partnership.
Dawson departed on 25, off Mitch Woods' bowling, and Swardt was run out on 42 by the time their side reached 100.
Visav Nath added 13, Jarrod Burton 16, while Nathan Withnell managed four and John Elliot three not out to reach their total.
With the ball, Servies performed.

Sreejan Tarafder snared Woods for a duck and then the wickets continued to fall as Guyra were all out for 121 with three balls in the match remaining.
Jared Veall finished with 2-13, Tarafder 3-14, Burton 3-35, Elliot 1-20 and Swardt 1-22.
Back in Armidale, City UNE were too good for Easts in a high-scoring affair.
Easts started strong with a 27-run partnership between Will Green and Alex Brown before Brown was run out on 14.
Green then was caught on 16 off Simon Butler's bowling before Jake Davies and Ian Ranger put on a 53-run stand.
Andrew Skinner dismissed Davies for 43 which brought Clarrie Moran to the crease.
He made 31 before their innings finished and the side had posted 4-155.
Although Easts had posted some strong partnerships, none were better than City's opening one of Kyle Taylor and Andrew Skinner who managed to put 80 runs on the board before Taylor was caught off Ranger's bowling for 61. Skinner managed 34 with Mitch Foster snagging his wicket.
Then City lost wickets in quick succession but the damage was already done.
They managed to chase down the required runs with five balls remaining.
Cricket now takes a break over Christmas and resumes on January 8.
