Donned in traditional dress, orange and rainbow clothes, students encouraged deeper connections and friendly conversations.
To commence the day, our pupils met in groups to watch a broadcast of the Harmony Day assembly, with music and dance pieces.

The assembly began with the Acknowledgement of Country showing respect for the Traditional Custodians of the Land, followed by a popular Japanese song and choreographed dance.
Our Armidale Secondary College pledge was presented by our Ezidi students, and shortly after we were able to witness a traditional Ezidi dance dating back to thousands of years of rich culture.
In the afternoon the ASC Plaza was filled with many food and trinket stalls, along with conversation, celebration and friendship.
Colourful booths dedicated to causes, including the Armidale LGBTQ+ community, were scattered throughout the main courtyard, selling a variety of items such as keychains, prize jars and friendship bracelets.
The delicious scent of freshly cooked dishes, desserts and snacks such as poffertjes and okonomiyaki kept the celebrations bustling and conversations flowing until the end of the day.
With the tremendous $3000 made from everyone's contributions, ASC students will be leading the construction and growing of a Harmony Day inspired garden project to remind us every day of our wonderful school culture, friendly peers and fantastic community.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in this wonderful, lively celebration!
