The golf course is looking its best after some very useful falls and the club house renovations are completed and providing visitors and members with a spectacular new veranda location for their 19th hole celebrations.
The weather forecast is perfect for the strong field nominated to play in Hunts Carpets Individual Stableford on Saturday and even better for the Hanlan Family Jug 4BBB on Sunday, with a full field of 140 players nominated.
Ladies Captain Kay Nash has done a sterling job organising the event and rounding up the troop of volunteers to ensure the weekend is a success and the players visiting from over 20 NSW and Qld clubs enjoy the hospitality Armidale Golf Club is well known for.
Defending champions Amy Hobbs and Judy Elks are hoping to find similar form to last year’s impressive effort.
Elks has had a big year since taking the title, dropping seven strokes but she will have to ensure she brings her best swing as the field will be strong and competition fierce!
Believed to be in its 70th year, the 2018 Ladies Jug will kick off both mornings with a shotgun start at 9am.
