The events at Dundee and Stonehenge will provide landholders with information about what drones are, how to use them, what rules and regulations apply and how they can be valuable to a farming or grazing enterprise.
Ben Watts of Bralca.com and Russel Smith from New England Weeds Authority will speak about how drones are being used in New England landscapes to reduce the labour and vehicle costs in monitoring weed infestations.
“These workshops will give an introduction to what drones can do and their role in agriculture,” project manager Jennie Coldham said. The free workshops are at Dundee Hall from 9am to 12 and the the Glen Innes Clay Target Club on the Stonehenge Recreation Ground from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
