“This Contribution to Football award to me will be the most prestigious of awards for a volunteer to be awarded in years to come, given its name sake has given so much to our football community and I find it very fitting that at the next [annual general meeting] I will be moving a formal motion that this years recipient be awarded life membership of Northern Inland Football,” NIF general manager Julia Farina said.
Gadd has served as a player, coach, president of the referees’ association, board member, NIF representative for the NNSW referees, level 3 referee, level 3 referee instructor and assessor and course runner since he started in the sport at 15-years old.
Of Dunbar’s award, Farina said: “The commitment and dedication shown by both young men will ensure our officiating ranks are well served for the years to come.”
