Guyra and the Barbarians will face off in Armidale this Saturday to get off the mark.
The Baa Baas were thumped by Easts in round one before Hillgrove pulled them apart last Saturday.
Captain Brad Rafferty said it has been hard to gather a team each week and the round three encounter looks to be no different.
“We are playing with half a team of third graders in first grade,” he said.
“You can’t take anything away from the boys that actually turn up and play but they’re just not first graders.”
Guyra have also struggled in the opening two rounds with Hillgrove getting the better of them in the first game before they went down to City in their most recent match. It’s been the side’s young guns who have stood up with BJ Cameron the only bowler from the Guyra team to claim wickets this year.
Rafferty said while each side is aiming to land their first win, his view on how the game will be played haven’t strayed from his plan heading into round one.
“A bit of fun hopefully,” he said.
