PROVING that ride on mowers aren't just for the paddock were a bunch of proud Uralla residents who mounted their noble steeds in the parade.
Uralla Show's Mower Challenge coordinator Jason Attard was hoping get a few laughs from the crowd by joining in the parade, but was concerned about numbers.
Luckily his fears were proved wrong, with a strong turn out of mower enthusiasts taking to the streets.
Mr Attard is also holding a mini mower challenge in Alma Park today, so be sure to check it out.

URALLA residents have labelled this year's Thunderbolts Festival parade as one of the best so far.
Lorna Barraclough and friend Gloria McMillan said the floats were particularly impressive.
"This would have to be the most floats we've had so far," Ms Barraclough said.
"We've been coming to this festival for a long time."
