Dance team co-leader Dennis Cutmore has lost count of how many schools they have performed for.
He performed at Drummond Memorial Public School along with fellow Armidale High School students Elijah Tighe, Henry Strong and Jeffery Mills.
They performed traditional Aboriginal dances before inviting students on stage to take part themselves.
Dennis said after his performances he was left with a feeling he found hard to put into words.
“I always feel very spiritual and connected to the land” he said.
Elijah has been dancing since he started high school and said he loves it.
“Since day one when I started dancing in year seven I loved it and wanted to do more,” he said.
“I love the kids jumping up and dancing with us.”
There are about 10 dancers who take turns performing at schools.
Clontarf Foundation operations officer Bruce Dennison said being able to dance gave the students confidence they could take into other areas of their life.
The dancers’ next performance will be at Uralla Central School in two weeks.
