Inverell saw a spike of 13 new coronavirus cases on Friday, two were in Tingha.
The Moree shire clocked seven new infections, one was in Boggabilla community.
Tamworth added just two COVID-19 cases in the latest update.
Armidale has again recorded no new cases.

Coonabarabran has returned a positive sewage detection despite no known cases residing in the area.
More than 1000 swabs were taken on Monday and Tuesday and close to 500 were done on Wednesday at testing sites across the city.
Residents have been urged to continue getting tested if symptoms appear, and get vaccinated if they are not already.
HNEH recorded 40 cases to 8pm Thursday. Twelve of the total active cases are being cared for in hospital and three are in ICU. Thirty-five cases are linked, four are unlinked, and one is still under investigation.
Nineteen people were infectious in the community while 20 were isolating and one is still under investigation.
There were 196 new cases recorded in NSW and three deaths.
