The Uralla women hadn't missed a beat all season but succumbed to their Tigers counterparts 18-10 at the encounter in Warialda.
Head strapper and waterboy Josh Clark said it was an uncharacteristically flat performance from the Uralla team.
"They were just off their game," he said.
"Tingha's defence is some of the best I have seen in the comp.
"I think the trip over might have put them off, they didn't turn up as energetic as usual."
Uralla were down 10-nil at the break but a second-half double to Sophie Barraclough got them into the match but it wasn't enough.
They still have a shot at making the grand final though with a clash against Walcha in Warialda this Saturday.
"I think our girls get Ella Elks back this week so I daresay she will start at hooker so her attitude will get them over the line," Clark said.
"They were disappointed with the way they performed but I think that will encourage them to play better."
