The Scorpions were beaten 2-1 by Northies for round nine but Campbell isn't too worried about the result.
"It was a bit disappointing but it is probably not a a bad thing," he said.
"We look at it as a wake up call."
While disappointed his team were on the wrong end of the scoreboard, Campbell was quick to praise North Companions.
"They played their game plan really well," he said.
"We struggled to break that down.
"We had enough opportunities and and on another day we probably could have broken them down.
"Credit to them, they played well, they stuck to their plan and got the win in the end.
"They were just too good on the day.
"Hopefully the next time we get them we will know how they play and we will play a bit differently ourselves."
With the competition taking a break for the long weekend, Campbell said the squad have time to work out where they went wrong before they re-group for their round 10 match against Demon Knights.
"When we got beaten by Norths United, we only had 24 hours to get over that and then we came up with a good win straight away.
"Now we have got two weeks to think about this one.
"It is good, guys can sit back and think we aren't the world beaters that we thought we were and we have got to work hard to get anywhere in this comp."
