Mr Kaehler said the number of entries was down on last year's event, but thought the number was probably not too bad under the circumstances.
Our standard of work this year is as high as ever ...
- Richard Kaehler
"We've got entries from as far away as Brisbane, Tamworth and we've got a depot in Wauchope where we picked up about 90 this year. We've got some entries from Woolgoolga and we do a run up through Glen Innes and Inverell," he said.
"All the money we raise from the art show is dedicated to local community groups and charities and it all goes back into the local communities.

"Our standard of work this year is as high as ever and our guest artist this year is Phillip Thornton from the Southern Tablelands. We've got quite a number of artists who have been exhibiting with us for a long while, and of course there is a contingent that comes up from Sydney every year."
Mr Kaehler said the Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall would open the event and there will be tickets available by the door on the night. He said there would be finger food, wine and lucky door prizes to be won on the night with the price of entry being $20 per person.
"Of course none of this would be possible without the support of our council, who make the hall available and pay for the electricity and so on," he said.
