The duo were named joint winners of Hockey NSW's junior male indoor player of the year award at their annual presentation night on Saturday.
The pair won gold at the Australian Indoor Hockey Festival in January and have also been chosen to compete in the field hockey national championships in April.
"This award means so much to me, it shows me that my hard-work has been noticed and admired. It's good for me in many ways as it helps to keep me motivated to stay committed and to keep pushing through the pain," Jake said.
Czinner and McCann have also played at various indoor and field hockey state, national and school-level events.
They have also coached junior teams which is something they hope to continue with in the future, alongside their own playing careers.
"My goals are to become the best player and coach that I can be," Jake said.
"And to use the knowledge that I have gained from all of my coaches and to pass it on to the next generation of young hockey players and hopefully bring more players to the sport.
"During 2018 I was lucky enough that Hockey New England allowed me to coach the under 15 boys at the State Championship for both Field and Indoor hockey.
"The boys had a tough division but I was pleased with their efforts and was happy to see the improvement in their game play during the Championships.
"I have nominated to coach again this year at the State Championships."
