The two-day season resumed and City took the field with renewed confidence after their previous start resulted in a win over one-day champions Easts.
City batted first and posted 204, a score skipper Kyle Taylor was happy with.
"It was an especially hard deck to bat on, it was doing stuff early; staying low and popping," he said.
"It was breaking up and hard to bat on so a credit to our batsmen to make 200 on that sort of a deck.
"Everyone contributed, I think the only bloke not to score runs was Joshy Marto [Martin], he got a duck.
"It was good to see."
For Guyra, BJ Cameron bowled for the first time this season to claim three wickets.
Mitch Woods finished with 3-30 from 10 overs, Justin McKay claimed 1-25 from five overs, Matt Finlay took 2-38 from seven overs while Ben Jackson managed 1-4 from two overs.

In reply, Guyra only managed 101.
Finlay again top-scored for his side with 43, the next best were Ben Jackson and Charlie Keen with 15 apiece.
With still one day's play remaining this Saturday, Taylor warned his team not to get complacent.
We are not going to take Guyra lightly, we are going to want to keep going forward and see if we can continue our winning ways," he said.
"They are bringing Tyson back in this week and, on their day, with their batting, [someone like] Matt Finlay can do anything.
"He scored 43 on the weekend and he got them in quick succession so that was a bit worrying when he got going.
"All it takes is one person to fire for them and get on a roll and we can lose our advantage really quick."
While they are starting to gain confidence within themselves, City aren't getting carried away with still plenty of room for improvement.
"I don't know whether we are confident, there are still some good teams," Taylor said.
"Easts are a really good team, Hillgrove by the sounds of things got a really big win on the weekend so they are starting to hit form.
"We can't get too confident yet but we are starting to get our confidence back as a playing group."
Guyra captain Matt Jackson was unavailable for comment.
The other match saw Hillgrove take a comfortable first day lead over Ex-Services.
