The boys raised thousands of dollars for the Melanoma Institute with their charity, called Five Cent Friday, which they started following the passing of their father last year.
“Each of the many nominees is to be congratulated for their impressive achievements and contributions,” Council’s Youth Services coordinator, Cara Barnes, said following the event on Tuesday night.
The Community Involvement Award recognises individuals or youth groups that are dedicated to their community.
