3:00pm: Armidale’s Showgirl Sophie Wood reflects on her time at the 2017 show.
The 20-year-old country girl studies Marketing and Agribusiness at the University of New England and normally competes in the showjumping horse events.
1:00pm: The crowds are rolling in at the Armidale Showground – were you snapped by one of our photographers?
Midday: These guys from the New England Medieval Arts Society weren’t mucking around. They will be putting on shows all day near the Canambe Street entrance.
10:30am It’s a beautiful Autumn day here in Armidale and The Express will be bringing you all the action from the Armidale Show as we celebrate the best of New England.

Earlier: Also featuring will be a performance from the Crackup Sisters – a pair of comedic acrobats. The Express checked in with the pair while they were setting up for their show on Friday morning.
Based in Outback Queensland, S.T.RUTH and TWIGS, have been performing as the comedy duo for eight years.
“Armidale is the last run in the New England … we went to Inverell last weekend,” S.T.RUTH said.
“It was wet last weekend but this weekend looks like it’s going to be a ripper.”
The duo are trained in dance, circus, Australian stock whip cracking, knockabout acrobatics, aerial stunts and of course – comedy.
