A WORKSHOP will aim to teach women how to manage their money better and support their financial independence.
The Better Money Management seminar will be hosted by not-for-profit organisation 10 thousand girl which focuses on improving financial wellbeing for women and families.
Founder Zoe Lamont said the workshop would help women and their families in regional areas balance their books with more efficiently.
“We are very excited about pushing these workshops regionally,” Ms Lamont said.
“It’s a better money management workshop so it really gives people the time and space to assess and make goals.”
The half day workshop is free and will be held on August 11 from 9.30am to 3.30pm and will cover planning for the future and managing assets.
“I am country girl and I am acutely aware that there are so many workshops and seminars that happen in the big city but not brought to the country,” Ms Lamont said.
“We will spend some of the day doing a financial health check which includes incoming and outgoing money, assets, liabilities debt position- all the foundation parts.”
“We also have a local panel of professionals which is really great because throughout the day people can work on their plan and then discuss it with the experts.”
