Guyra Hospital reported 1cm on the ground from intermittent light snow overnight on Monday June 24.
Snow fell from about 3:30am and went til 4:30 with a light cover on the ground in Guyra, Black Mountain and Ben Lomond. The snow melted as the sun rose.
Intermitent snow showers continued throughout the morning, but did not settle.
NSW Roads and Maritime Services issued a warning for motorists to be careful on the New England Highway at Black Mountain due to ice on the road.
The temperature at 9am was just 1.8C with mixed rain and snow still falling. The total precipitation recorded was 3mm in the 24 hours to 9am and a further 2mm throughout the day.
Cold conditions persisted with the maximum temperature reaching just 5.7C on Tuesday, followed by -2 overnight.
