Sports organisations, like Sport UNE Football League and Group 19 rugby league, have been waiting for lockdowns to ease to continue their seasons while others, including New England Rugby Union, called time.
After the new measures announced on Thursday excluded community sport from lockdown relief, the soccer organisation opted to end their season as well.
"SportUNE Football League's 2021 season has finished," they said in a statement on Friday.

"Presumably this will be 'til NSW passes the 70 per cent or 80 per cent double vaccination target, under the roadmap to freedom released yesterday [Thursday].
"This means that our 2021 football competitions have ended.
"No final series will be (can be) conducted and the teams at the top of the ladder will be declared Minor Premiers.
"The League would like to thank the clubs, their presidents, committees, coaches, managers, and players. A special thanks goes to our officials (referees) for their contribution.
"Everyone's participation in the very disrupted 2021 football season is appreciated. Looking forward to a smoother 2022."
