Inverell's Mountain Bike Club host round 2 of the NIXCS, and secretary Andrew Walsh couldn't have wished for a better day.
"We had to do a fair bit of water mitigation from the rain," he said.

"But that's all done, and well look at today - you couldn't have gotten a better one."
With over 40 competitors, the competition was tough but it's one of winner Eddie Willis' favourites.
The Tamworth lad described the ride as "challenging" and said it beat out other tracks on the level of technicality it presented.
"It was tough," he said.
"Going hard, it's such a technical course, very demanding physically, its always on.
"It's probably my favourite track out of all of them."
After racing at Armidale and Mackay tracks recently, he said he'd "see what pops up" for his next racing adventure.
The last round of the NIXCS will also be held at he Inverell tracks in July.
