And they did it by the skin of their teeth.
In a clash full of handling errors, as well as penalties, Robb claimed a 25-23 triumph over Tamworth.
The students were the first to put points on the board via a Zane Salmon penalty goal.
Then Tamworth returned serve with a penalty goal of their own.
Two minutes later, a slick backline movement found Robb speedster James Archer who burst through the line only to be pulled up short of the tryline.
But Tom Jackson was able to capitalise and Robb took the lead 8-3.
The hosts extended their lead after a charge down led to another five-pointer under the posts.
That was converted for the students to extend to 15-3.
The 12 point margin was the biggest Robb helding during the game with Tamworth posting a try and a penalty goal, soon after.
