As storm clouds start to develop across the region, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has warned residents to prepare for potentially severe weather conditions.

The bureau and State Emergency Service (SES) are actively monitoring a developing system which looks like it may bring storms, heavy rain, strong winds and cold temperatures to parts of NSW, and up into Queensland.
In Armidale, the BoM predicts light showers to continue all throughout the weekend along with low temperatures.
Morning showers on Saturday will bring light winds becoming west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h. A low of four and high of 15 is predicted before temperatures drop on Sunday and Monday.
Both days will see lows of zeros and highs of eight and nine degrees.
Glen Innes will see a medium chance of rain on Saturday, most likely in the morning, with north to northeasterly winds turning west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the morning.
Overnight temperatures are predicted to fall between four and 11 with daytime temperatures reaching 21.
Snow may be a possibility on Sunday and Monday for higher areas around Glen Innes as temperatures drop to minus one. Although, the bureau is only predicting around four to six millimetres of rain all up.
Inverell is expected to see around seven millimetres of rain fall throughout the weekend, mostly this afternoon and into Saturday.
The BoM predicts gusty winds east to northeasterly travelling around 25 to 35 km/h tending north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the late evening.

Saturday will bring a medium chance of showers with overnight temperatures falling to four degrees in Inverell and daytime temps reaching up to 21 degrees.
With overnight temperatures expected to reach zero on Sunday, the BoM has estimated snow may be a possibility for areas above 1200 metres. Daytime temperatures on Sunday are expected to reach 15.
Snow on Monday will also be a possibility with temps set to drop to minus one, along with a medium to slight chance of rain.
Unfortunately for Moree, the Bureau is predicting less than two millimetres of rain to fall across the weekend. Cloudy weather and wild winds will stick around until Tuesday when the sun will finally make an appearance.
With rain already falling outside in Moree today (Friday), the max temperature is predicted to reach 17 degrees. The BoM has forecast the chance of a possibly severe thunderstorm.
Winds will blow east to northeasterly 30 to 45 km/h tending north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h throughout today and into the evening.
Overnight temperatures on Saturday are set to fall between five and nine degrees and daytime temps will hit a maximum of 19.
Gloomy weather will continue on Sunday with a slight, 30 per cent, chance of rain. Minimum temperatures are predicted to fall between two and five degrees with daytime temps reaching 16.
Monday will bring chilling morning temperatures across the plains, with BoM estimating a low of one to five degrees. Winds will blow west to northwesterly becoming light during the evening.
