Further restrictions on public gatherings were put in place by the Federal Government on Sunday due to the coronavirus pandemic which saw consequently saw Golf NSW recommend the closure of courses.
But, after reconsideration, the NSW Office of Sport have deemed golf an activity which can be played in line with Public Health Orders.
Armidale's course will be re-opened on Thursday and Armidale Golf Club Pro Shop's Kevin Marshall welcomed the news.

There are restrictions on how golfers can take to the green and Marshall stressed that everyone should follow the rules.
"We will be back to normal tomorrow morning with restrictions as per government guidelines of two people per group," he said.
"Only one person per cart, no sharing of golf carts.
"Social distancing rules apply and it will be golf as normal from tomorrow morning."
The re-opening of golf courses follows the Government's guidelines on people being allowed to leave home to exercise.
They said maintaining the public's physical and mental well being at the moment is as important as ever.
Although Golf NSW appreciate the updated rulings, they said it is up to each individual club as to whether they will open or close, based on their individual circumstances in relation to COVID-19.
