The six-year-old mare was guided by Belinda Hodder to collect her fifth career win and made it a successful day all-round for trainer Scott Singleton, and the mare's ownership group, who had already claimed the winnings earlier in the day with Itasca.
Singleton recently relocated his training stables from Hawkesbury to Scone and had no doubt Concessions would get the job done in Armidale.
"Scone, here and a second at Mudgee because I was at Hawkesbury before I moved to Scone so it was city racing or provincials so I think she just noticed the drop in grade too," he said.
"She was probably the best horse in the race.
"She has won a couple of hundred thousand [dollars].
"She has just lost her way a little bit but she has been going fantastic at home so I think she just needed the right run, she's a mare, a bit moody.
"She's raced in much better company than this most of her life, she's only raced in the country about three times."
Singleton was also happy with the way the mare ran the 1900m race.
"She just got back, let them all go and then cut the corner," he said.
"It was a really nice ride too.
"She didn't do any work in the run so she had a good kick at the end."
It was the first time in five months the Armidale Jockey Club has held a race meet.
Hundreds of racegoers turned out after drought saw meetings between September and March 1 transferred from the Armidale Racecourse to other tracks around the region.
