They defeated Guyra Central School in their opening match to progress to the second round, with Brock Parsons notching up 102.
Parsons continued his form with the bat when they faced the Tamworth-based Oxley High at Harris Park last Friday.
Batting first, Armidale suffered an early wicket before they piled on the runs.
Aidan Taylor whacked 44 before he was run out.
Parsons smashed 16 fours and two sixes on his way to 122 not out.
Jessie Marshall remained alongside him at the crease with 26 not out as Armidale finished their innings at 2-199.
Oxley started strong in their run chase before Hamish Wallace snared the first wicket.
Marshall then claimed the first of his four scalps when he removed Oxley's number three.
Cooper Collins chimed in with two wickets before Marshall hit his straps.
He secured three quick wickets to put the home side on the front foot with the visitors at 7-133.
Wallace then claimed two more wickets in quick succession to have Oxley hanging by a thread.
The final wicket was taken when Oxley reached 151, giving Armidale the win.
The Coleman Shield will continue next year with Armidale set to face Gulargambone for a spot in the final against Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School.
The Coleman Shield is a competition for North West Schools.
