Guests travelled from Gloucester, Coonabarabran, Warialda, Uralla and Guyra to wish the Dureys well in their move to Queensland to be closer to their family.
A number of guests from the coast were prevented from attending by the current bush fire emergency.
Harry and Joyce will be sorely missed by the Armidale Rotary members, former District Governor Lorraine Coffey said.
The good news for the service organisation is they plan to continue their membership with the Rotary E-Club of District 9650.
