The meeting celebrated the local branch's success in raising $55,000 to donate to the hospital for much needed equipment. The funds were raised by members donating their time and manning the hospital kiosk on weekdays, holding raffles and trading tables.
Members also received their 20 Year Service Badges. They were presented to Olive Bourke, Gloria Dell, Lili, Phylis and Rita Rologas and also Barbara Rowlings for their voluntary work since 1999.
Gwen Killen, Gai Galbraith, Wendy Nano and Carmel White all received their 15 Year Service Certificates.
Appreciation Certificates were presented to Dot Clutterbuck, Denise Coombes, Betty Duim, Sandy McKay and Janet Tanner. Cr Murray congratulated the women on their selfless years of volunteering, while Lesley presented all the badges and certificates.
With a number of volunteers retiring after many years of service, replacements do need to be found. So, if you are interested, contact the Hospital Kiosk on 6776 9718 between 8.30am and 3pm any weekday. If you leave your name and telephone number it will be passed on to president Mrs Robyn Clutterbuck.
