Police have laid seven further charges against a man following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse in Armidale.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a 15-year-old girl had been sexually abused by a man she met on social media in March.
A 35-year-old man was charged by investigators in May.

In June 2019, a further five charges - three charges of assault with act of indecency and two charges of aggravated sexual assault - deprive liberty - were laid by detectives.
That came after allegations the man had sexually abused another two girls - then aged 16 and 17 - between June and July last year.
Following further investigations, detectives laid an additional seven charges of assault with act of indecency at Armidale Local Court on Wednesday.
Police will allege in court that the man indecently assaulted another woman - then aged 21 - at a home in Armidale in October last year.
The man remains bail refused and is due to re-appear at the same court on Wednesday, September 18.
Inquiries by detectives are continuing.
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
