Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said instructions on how to sign up to receive rates and water notices electronically, and options for online payments, were included on rates notices.
"The move to electronic rates and water notices helps cut the use of paper and reduces postage, bringing greater convenience, sustainability and cost-effectiveness," he said.
"The eNotices are an initiative of Council's EcoARC 'greenprint' for sustainability.
"At the same time, the online payment options allow you to pay your rates and water accounts whenever and wherever it suits you."
