This is an opportunity to come together and choose use museum objects to make meaningful connections in the present. Each object chosen will start the conversations as different explanations are prompts for people to share stories about their lives and their hopes for the future.
The New England Writers' Centre (NEWC) will offer, two free, 'Story Starter' sessions at the Armidale Folk Museum on Sunday September 1 and Sunday 15 from 2:30 to 4pm. They include writing and illustration workshops for primary-school children (currently underway), a manga/anime workshop for young people and afternoon tea.
NEWC Stories Connect is being delivered by the New England Writers' Centre in partnership with Settlement Services International, Armidale Regional Council, and Arts North West.The Armidale Folk Museum is l on the corner of Faulkner and Rusden Streets, next to the old library building.
