Scarves, woolen headbands, beanies mittens, gloves and 35 children's blankets were among more than 100 items made and donated to the welfare section of St Vincent de Paul, to be distributed to the needy in Armidale.
Spinners and Weavers president Lee Daniel said the group was made up of individuals who liked to take up community projects.
"In March we donated to the Armidale Hospital, about 80 beanies that the group made for the premie babies, and also then for the Oncology Unit we made about 100 beanies to be donated for the cancer patients," Lee said.

"Last August - September we were involved in the fight against domestic violence for women and children. We contributed to the group down at Taree who made white scarves, which were taken down to Taree, all put together and made into blankets.
"What we're going to do now is just have a nice box in the corner, and as our members have time they can make something and pop things in there and after we get a few things together we'll donate again."
Lee said she was not certain about where the group's donation would "strike" again, but was certain there seemed to be a lot of needy people in Armidale.
Volunteers Trish Hamblin and David Hallam represented welfare care and support at St Vincent de Paul. Trish said the group had donated four boxes of things that could be now handed out to the less fortunate in our community.
"These donations will be just wonderful, she said.
"We hand out blankets and doonas, and now beanies and scarves and gloves which we haven't had before."
