"We work so hard to make that much money, and you give it to us in one hit!" secretary Jan Day said.
The line dancers hold a social every September to raise money for charities and not-for-profits. This time, their choice fell on the library.
"We hope that they can continue to do their wonderful work," president Kerry Swadling said.
Enid Beeton, the late mother of one of their dancers, Wendy, was involved with the library.

The Library will use the money to buy wigs, which cost $300; their patrons pay $50, and the library subsidises the rest.
"This makes a huge difference to us," member Gwen Hodson said. "It's a huge boost to our fund-raising."
The Library, started 20 years ago, covers the whole New England area, from Tenterfield to Bendemeer, and Inverell to Walcha. They have nearly 300 wigs, some made from human hair, most made from artificial fibre, and serve women of all ages, from 18 to 96.
The Library will start this year's fundraising with a market day in Guyra on April 26, selling pot plants, crafts, and raffle tickets. The raffle will be drawn at their major fundraiser of the year, a garage, plant, and craft sale at Gwen Hodson's house.
The line dancing group started more than 20 years ago. It is open to new members, both male and female, regardless of age; anyone interested in joining can come to the Armidale Legacy Club, Mondays, or the Uralla Uniting Church Hall, Tuesdays, both at 6pm.
The New England Wigs and Headwear Library is located at 91 Macdonald Drive, Armidale. Open by appointment only. Call Gwen Hodson on 02 6772 6524. Customers need a referral from their GP or oncology unit.
