John Crisp is all about getting word out to men about just what community services are available to help them, and that's why he is an organiser of the inaugural Bright Shirt Day to be held in Curtis Park from 11am-2pm on Thursday March 28.

"HealthWise has come on board with Blah,Blah Coffee. We got six agencies that will be there on the day, non-profit groups like The Men's Shed will be there to talk about what they do and Armajin," he said.

"There's a whole community of men's issues out there, so we want to tell them that it's all there as one. Men are only told by their GPs that they should go here or there. For example, some homeless people only go to one place and say they thought that was it.
"I want to tell men that, in general, there are other places to go to."
John said some people who needed help the most needed to be aware of what was available.
"A lot of people think The Men's Shed is just about woodwork, and it's not. It is about men's health and well being," he said.
