The Armidale brewery came in at positions 35, 39 and 42 on the 11th national poll, reputed to be the biggest and most influential beer vote in the country.
Co-owner and brewer Phil Stevens said the Dog team was “very happy” with the result as it continues just its second year of brewing.
“Our deepest thanks to the people who support us,” he said.
“All we can do is make the beers, but it takes the people out there who support us to get them in [the Hottest 100].”

The poll organisers are the team behind the Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular, a six-year-old festival that will this year run in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland.
They said more than 31,000 people had cast 155,000-plus votes in the poll for 2018.
The Welder’s Dog Farmhouse Ginger Beer reached no. 35; its Australian Wheat Ale hit no. 39; and its India Pale Ale got to no. 42 – all in the brewery’s first year on the charts.
Mr Stevens said that was “a powerful marketing tool for us”.
“A lot of people have taken the time to vote and would all be checking the results, too – we’ll get a lot of exposure out of that.”
He said the Hottest 100 success had come after a very busy few months for the brewery and the Armidale and Tamworth pubs.
December’s Forage Fest in Armidale, a busy Christmas sales period and the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2019 had been topped off by, this week, four new tanks being installed at the brewery, doubling its capacity.
