Ex-Services captain John Elliot is wary of what an in-form Guyra side can do if a team is not on their game.

“I have not forgotten what they were able to do to us up there last game,” he said.
“They came out with an outright win and I haven't forgotten that.
“I have personally been looking forward to this game.”
Servies haven’t had the best start to the new season.
They faced City in round one with only 10 players.
Elliot said all players are back on deck and can’t wait to take on Guyra.
“That was an unforeseen event there, one of our players had to get called away to the firies,” he said.
“We are probably just about at full-strength, I am probably only missing one.”
Guyra’s season has started positively, with their last win coming at the expense of Hillgrove, but Elliot is more concerned about his team’s coming performance.
“I am personally worried about our own backyard before I am worrying about other teams,” he said.
“To be honest, I am not reading anything into that first game, it was a bit of a poor excuse for a game of cricket.
“As far as we are concerned we are fresh off a bye and keen to get out there. If we can all turn up on the day we can match it with them.”
He did acknowledge the efforts of his coming opponents.
“They are playing some pretty good cricket, there is no denying that,” Elliot said.
“Having a few homegrown boys back at the club there helps.
“Having the smarts of Matty Jackson running the show, I personally think he is one of the smartest cricketers in the comp.
“That helps them and then add the firepower in the bowling with Mitch Woods and Tyson Burey, that certainly helps.
“It will be a bit of a test where we are at as a team.
“There are a few key batsmen there that we have got to negotiate and hopefully we can get them early and see what comes of it.”
Their opponents are expecting a tough Servies outfit to front up and, although he will miss the opening day, Guyra skipper Matt Jackson said his batsmen need to stand up.
“I honestly don't know what to expect from Servies,” he said.
“They are a side that on their day if they turn up, everyone can get runs and they can bowl a side out for 50.
“We have really good bowling stocks in Guyra, the one thing we haven't had is batsmen.
“I think while BJ Cameron is not bowling while he is still injured, I think it is a great opportunity for him to step up the order and put on some big scores.
“He was in the leading runscorers last year so he has got the talent there, it might be a year he can knuckle down with the bat and not worry about the bowling as such.
“A big one over the course of the weekend [against Hillgrove] was we now know we can get 300 runs in an innings so that is a new goal for us, to be pushing up around 300 for these two-day games and maximising our runs.”
