The Armidale District senior cricket competition gets underway this Saturday with the two-day season moved forward. The opening round of the first grade competition will be split over October 13 and October 20.
City start their campaign against Ex-Services at the Armidale Sportsground while Hillgrove have the bye.
Reigning premiers Easts will take on a Guyra side at Lambert Park with a host of new faces.
The clash will see Matt Jackson and Tyson Burey line up for Guyra against their old club.
Burey previously opened the bowling for Easts with Jackson Gwynne who said it should be interesting to go up against his old teammate.
“I think we should be alright, we lose those two and I don't think Dean Moore is playing,” Gwynne said.
“Should be good to start and have a bit of fun with the old Easts boys.”
