For about 45 minutes, customers were unable to be served at the supermarket’s cash registers.
Following the meltdown, a spokesman from the local store said it was business as usual for the Beardy Street supermarket when contacted by The Armidale Express late on Monday.
Chaos descended around the nation with all Woolworths supermarkets reportedly experiencing a technical issue that prevents them from processing any transactions.
The stores are reportedly all operating again. An official comment has yet to be made by the supermarket giant.
