Armidale Archers held their annual general meeting and, after being at the helm for 35 years, Dennis Carson stepped down as president, handing over to Yan Laurensen. Dennis believed the time was right for a change. For the club to continue to grow it is important there are new ideas and new blood. Dennis will continue in his role as club coach.

Dennis reported on the success of the club this past year, highlighting the sealing of the road, completion of the toilet facilities, the Jeff Raue Memorial Garden being opened and the State Field Championships.
Matt Walcott was elected as vice president, Dan Alter, treasurer and Margaret Carson secretary. Luke Kersley has taken on the role of Webiste/IT with Ella-rose Carson, recorder and Michael Zahner, membership officer.
Three ‘Come ‘n’ Try’ days are planned for February 25, March 4 and 11 in conjunction with club shooting at 9.30. Anyone interested can contact Dennis or Margaret Carson on 67721029 or 0412620102 for further information. The club also plans to hold more ranking rounds so members will be able to obtain ratings (handicap) and a national ranking. There will also be a round of the State Grand Prix in May.
Dennis is also taking two club members to the National Junior Championships in April.
