Police have arrested a man believed to be involved in an armed robbery in Armidale on Friday afternoon.
At around 3pm the offender, armed with a knife, held up workers at Armidale Removals before fleeing the scene.
Inspector Matthew Hemsworth said police believe the man was then involved in a car chase through Tamworth before he was arrested.
Police say the man didn’t escape with any cash.
BREAKING:
A man is on the run after an alleged armed robbery at Armidale Removals on Friday afternoon.
The offender was last seen travelling at high speed on the New England Highway towards Tamworth.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the Mann St address and were treating a woman believed to be in her 60s for a laceration.
Emergency services and detectives are on the scene.
