The tour will incorporate a number of stops in the Invergowrie, Arding, and Kelly’s Plains, and will include vegetation plantings.
Specialists will be on hand to share knowledge and facilitate peer-based learning.
Insight Ecology’s Andrew Hugget will lead discussions on identifying and recreating habitat for key woodland bird species on private land.
Landholders and tour participants will be invited to discuss and compare their various experiences in how vegetation on farms can provide long-term benefits for their resource base.
Participants can expect a day packed with plenty of information on how revegetation for woodland birds works hand in glove with rural land use.
The project is part of the $25 million National Landcare Programme investment that Local Land Services.
