A new Sunday singles tennis competition is scheduled to get underway in Armidale this weekend with players of all ages already signed up to take part.
Run by local tennis coach Peter Le Surf, the tournament will be made up of three divisions based on player ability.
If you are competitive and all you play is social tennis then you feel like you are missing something so this gives them a chance to just play some singles.

Le Surf said there is still time to get involved with the event and you do not have to be a member of the Armidale Tennis Club to participate.
"We are still a couple of players short but what I am aiming for is three divisions of players with six players per division,” he said.
"Most of them are just people that come for coaching and then there are a few that are members of the club.”
He said the new competition allows tennis players to bring out their more competitive sides.
