LIVE MUSIC, local delights and laughter will be on offer at the Day on the Gravel.
Organiser Bruce Menzies said the event aims to demonstrate the potential of the civic precinct.
“The idea with this committee is to build a precinct in the middle of the city to reinvigorate the CBD, to have a library that’s not a disgrace and that actually meets the state requirements for libraries and an arts centre because Armidale has no public performing space.
“We have to beg and borrow from places like The Armidale School and that’s not big enough to have national or international artists coming here.
“The idea is that we do it in Cinders Lane where we hope the precinct will be built,” he said.
The event will kick off in Cinders Lane from 10am on October 9.
