Professionals Stock and Land Guyra Director Craig Waters said the group was completely dumfounded by the results.
“It was a great day with some very well presented bulls,” Mr Waters said, “Bulls went as far north as Rockhamption and as far south as Mudgee.”
“We had repeat buyers and new buyers from far and wide too.”
It was a successful day for vendor Fred Bell with 79 of the offered bulls sold and three passed in resulting in a 96 per cent clearance.
The top sale of the day was taken out by the Glen Colin Pastoral Co of “Sallywood” Walcha for $18,000 with a 905kg bull.
The proceeds from one sale were donated to Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation with the stud selling for $7000 to Rockvale Farms.
The average price for the cattle was $6,753.25 bucked last year’s average of to $4066.
Mr Waters said it was a great average and the results topped average local sales in the district.
Special mention for two bulls that sold for $17,000 each to Foster and Sons from Abington and Maryburn Partnership from Maryburn.
Professionals Stock and Land Guyra said they are already excited for next year.
