The zone entered a team in the division two tournament at the event in Parkes.
After missing out on wins in their opening matches, the Hockey New England team came home strong to finish third in their pool.
They started their campaign with a 2-nil loss to the Far North Coast on a grass field before missing out the win against Port Macquarie where they were downed 3-1.
The Hockey New England side then lined up against Canberra where they landed their first win of the tournament, defeating their opponents 1-nil.
They then faced Port Macquarie for a hard-fought 2-all draw.
To round out their campaign, Hockey New England faced Sydney North West in a third versus third pool crossover.
The match resulted in a narrow 1-nil defeat.
The girls had most of the attack in their games but just couldn't capitalise.
The girls were so unlucky and their division was extremely close.
Hockey New England's team entered in the division four competition was very strong and proceeded through the pool matches undefeated, and kept all their opponents goal-less.
They took on Grafton on the grass field first up and took a 1-nil win.
Against Central Coast, the New England team won 3-nil.
Then they faced Dubbo teams twice for two 2-nil wins.
Their results ensured they would finish top of their pool.
In the cross over matches, New England faced eventual state champions Sydney Northern Beaches who put two goals on early.
The New England team hit back but couldn't draw level and were beaten 2-1.
After the competition had finished, Charlotte Portel and Ava Vaughan were named in the NSW under-13 squad.
They will attend a training camp at the end of July, where a two team NSW contingent will be selected.
Hockey New England umpires also represented the zone over the three days.
Kyran Peltonen ended up with a division one semi-final and a division one relegation match.
Kara Porter also umpired but for Grafton association.
She also did extremely well.
Cathleen Hislop was Hockey New South Wales technical officer for the weekend.
All athletes did New England extremely proud.
