Bike enthusiasts, walkers and campers could connect nature lovers with a great country experience. Contributing business opportunities not only for Guyra but home stayers along the route.
Local food products would provide interesting conversations, between hikers and local people. Small, single-products like, local Guyra peonies soap, local indigenous art and fine merino craft would build the regional area delivering small but needed returns at the farm gate.
Short stays at local residents homes could lead to discussions about local horticulture and meat production.
New England products can be eaten off the table.
The case for the disused rail line, to be developed are real and continuing.
Our local communities would be able to choose whether to participate or not, and compete for a market by providing different products for visitors to peruse and enjoy.
The development of the rail line as an adventurous place for locals and tourists to enjoy, contributing to the local economy hopefully will be part of local strategic plans.
