The Rams were beaten 20-4 by the Boars on Sunday and have their sights set on redemption when they head to Glen Innes to take on last-start winners the Magpies.
Coach Jess Smith said the squad have buckled down at training this week.
"Our downfall last week was our poor preparation," she said.
"But it was a wake up call that we needed and we have turned it around this week, prepared well and we are ready to go up to Glen and turn it all around.
"We will be returning to the basics that we seemed to forget last week, and the girls are hungry to prove themselves."
The Rams' A-grade team are yet to post a victory this season and will face a Glen Innes outfit who were beaten for the first time this season by Narwan on Sunday.
The Rams were pipped at the post by the Boars in their most recent match.
After leading for most of the match, they were beaten 28-24.
Second-halves have cursed the Rams all season and it was the case again on Sunday.
Coach Luke Kirkby bemoaned the ill-discipline and poor completion rate.
"It is good for our confidence to know how close we can be to these other teams but at the end of the day we shot ourselves in the foot," he said.
"A very, very, poor completion rate in the second-half saw them come back and that is what cost us in the end."
Kirkby is wary of Glen Innes coming off a loss but is more concerned about the Rams' efforts and performances.
"They [the Magpies] are going to want to come out firing and make up for last week, having their first loss of the season but we can't worry about them," he said.
"We have to be worried about us and do what we do and make sure we do it properly.
"It is going to be crucial for the result at the end of the game."
Kirkby is confident if they can pull together and maintain intensity, the Rams are every chance of claiming the two points.
"I said to the boys at the start, and I have said it quite a few times, if we can compete for the 80 minutes, we have got every chance of winning the game," he said.
"We did that on the weekend, unfortunately we didn't get the win but we competed pretty much the whole game and just fell short.
"We are getting close."
The under-18 squad is also predicted to travel to Glen to take on the Magpies who were beaten in the dying stages of their match against Tingha last Saturday.
