Bronwyn Pearson and Rechelle Leahy have been appointed as Employment Facilitators, Northern Inland NSW Region, for the Regional Employment Trials (RET) Program commencing October 2018.
The RET program has been introduced in ten disadvantaged regions across Australia.

Minister for Jobs and Industrial Relations, the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer, MP said, the Government recognises that some regions in Australia face unique challenges and require innovative and tailored solutions to local employment problems.
“The Regional Employment Trials program brings together local expertise to improve employment opportunities for people looking for work in these regions,” Minister O’Dwyer said.
Under the program, trial regions will receive $1 million in grant funding. Local stakeholders can apply for individual grants of between $7,500 and $200,000 for employment-related projects such as mentoring programs and upskilling local unemployed people to become more job ready.
Initiatives will be tailored to the opportunities and needs in each selected region.
Bronwyn and Rechelle sharing the Employment Facilitator role in the Northern Inland RDA region, and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position.
Rechelle is CEO of a national professional services firm providing technical expertise and specialist advice to government and other institutions on policy, strategy, research, and advocacy in key areas of social policy. This work focuses on the needs of rural, regional and remote Australia.
“Bronwyn’s and my appointment to facilitate this exciting and innovative approach to employment in our region is a real privilege,” Rechelle said.
