More than 70 finalists will be celebrating their achievements at Armidale Regional 2018 Business Awards Gala Dinner on Friday, August 10. All finalists have been contacted and have been published on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

President of the Chamber, Anthony Fox, was very pleased with the response from local businesses.
“Interest in the awards has been very high with 79 finalists across 17 categories,” Mr Fox said. “One category, Excellence in Export, did not snag an entrant. Next year hopefully it too will be filled.”

Judging is currently being finalised, and to ensure independence, the NSW Business Chamber has, at the chamber’s request, been organising the judging.
“When you look at the range of entrants – large and small, you absolutely realise the significance of business in the Armidale Region and the growth of new businesses,” Mr Fox said.
“In fact, the Start-Up Super Star Category was one of the most hotly contested.”
He said the awards night was about celebrating business and the people who work within it, and not just about announcing winners.
“Armidale business and their employees have much to be proud about, and as a community it is this we should be celebrating.”

Entertainment during the evening will be provided by the Ash Hall Trio and Little Fish. Armidale Council’s very new CEO Susan Law will be attending, providing an opportunity for her to see all the Armidale region has to offer.
