The reigning premiers managed to land a win based on first innings points after a gritty stand by Guyra.
Guyra posted 176 in their first innings and had the Hillgrove at 2-65 at the end of the first day on January 13.
Back at the crease on day two, Hillgrove captain Matt Schaefer and Andrew Brownlie dug in to post 31 runs each before they were dismissed.
Brad King (25) and Dick Heagney (44) were the side’s other major contributors as they went on to post 195.

Schaefer said his side aimed to post a high total on their first innings and was pleased it paid off for them.
“Dick Heagney batted really well, he got 40-odd in the middle order, Kingy got a few as well,” he said.
“It was nice to see those guys get some runs in the middle.”
Although they took the win, Schaefer credited his opponents for their effort.
“I thought they bowled pretty well today,” he said.
“We would have liked to get a few more, get a bit of a lead and have a crack at them this arvo but they bowled well and kept us to only 20 ahead or something.”
