ARMIDALE’S Harry Sinclair has been selected to play at the most esteemed junior soccer tournaments for boys in Australia.
Sinclair will suit up for the Northern NSW’s under 13’s team at the tournament in Coffs Harbour next month.
Sinclair’s mother Tanya said he was excited to hear he had achieved selection in the side.
“It was one of his goals he has been working very hard towards,” she said.
“He was very calmly excited. I think he was quite shocked to get in.”
More than 450 of Australia’s best young male footballers in the 13 Years and 14 Years divisions are set to participate in the competition.
The tournament is hosted by Northern NSW Football at C.ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour will involve 27 teams from around Australia, with over seven teams contesting in each age division.
It has been hosted at the Coffs Harbour venue since 2006.
The championships commence on October 3 and will go through to October 7.
